Feltkütur Illusion Enhanced with a Unique Auralization Tool
The Feltkütur team has launched a new auralization tool integrated into our 3D configurator, Feltkütur Illusion, bringing to life the vision we had from the very beginning for this platform.
Auralization is a technology that realistically recreates the sound experience of a space—much like a 3D visualization, but for the ear. It applies the acoustic characteristics of a location—whether measured or modeled—to a “dry” audio recording. The result: an authentic simulation of how a voice, music, or any sound would truly resonate within that environment.
This approach is widely used in architecture, design, and engineering to anticipate and compare the acoustics of a space before construction or before adding acoustic treatments. It also serves as a powerful way to demonstrate to clients the tangible benefits of acoustic solutions.
Within Feltkütur Illusion, we’ve integrated a quality indicator based on the target reverberation time for each type of space. Users can select or add the necessary acoustic elements to optimize the sound performance of a room. Thanks to the interactive simulation, they can also compare and listen to the acoustics before and after treatment.
The auralization module was developed in collaboration with Mecanum, experts in acoustics, while the visual design was created by our partner Pixi Studio, giving the tool an experience that is both immersive and intuitive.
The simulation begins with the selection of materials for walls, flooring, and ceiling. The user can then apply different acoustic treatments and experience a personalized sound environment based on the performance indicator.
Today, Feltkütur Illusion is fully operational. It offers a complete solution to better explain acoustic challenges and more effectively manage client expectations by making the invisible… audible.
