1977
In 1977, for the first time in its history, Texel exceeded $ 1 million in sales. In 1980, Texel continues to grow, the company hires its first general manager, opens jobs for shipping and handling. That year also marked the purchase of the very first lift. In 1984, the turnover is close to five million dollars.
1987
In 1987, ADS Inc. became a public company and acquired Texel. A 28,000 square foot expansion is being completed to a total of 65,068 square feet. This expansion involves the addition of a new production line called L06, a calender and new offices. The year of 1987 also marks the 20th anniversary of Texel.
1988
In 1988, the pilot line was inaugurated at the St-Elzear laboratory. In 1989, Texel has 60 production employees and 26 office workers. The turnover exceeds $ 12 million.
1991
In 1991, the sixth production line was installed and named L07. In 1993, the company created Solmax-Texel, who became Texel Geosol later, an affiliated company specializing in the distribution and installation of geosynthetic products. The turnover exceeds $ 20 million. In 1998, the discreet efficiency of Texel makes it possible to reach more than $ 56 million in turnover.
