PANÈTE TECHNO

The TV show for technology geeks, "PLANÈTE TECHNO", quickly became Quebec’s benchmark. Led by Jean-Michel Vanasse, the team of seasoned and experienced columnists presents the latest technology products and the most recent scientific innovations.

For the 7th season of the show, the team is moving to the historic building named “Le Rodier”, located at the gates of Montreal's Innovation District ... "PLANÈTE TECHNO" will be surrounded in techno now more than ever!

To improve the acoustic comfort of the new location, Feltkütur donated an acoustic panel bearing the image of the show. This panel has been personalized using a digital printing process. Thanks to its 100% polyester composition, it will also be possible to "sublimate" print on the  Düotex acoustical panel, without losing any of the acoustic properties.

Thermal sublimation is a physical process that involves the immediate passage of a substance from the solid state to the gaseous state, without passing through the liquid form. This allows you to apply an image to specially coated materials using heat and pressure! It is important to note here that the nature of the substance remains unchanged. If the process begins with inks, for example, the nature of the acoustic felt will remain the same. With thermal sublimation, a color point on the digital image corresponds to a color point on the printed photo. Unlike inkjet prints that do not exceed 300 dpi, thermal dye sublimation printers can display resolutions up to 9600 x 2400 dpi (dots per inch).

Feltkütur, thanks to its Feltväri technology, intends to develop a new felt scrim for digital printing and dye sublimation printing. This new format will be ideal for customizing the textures and colors for suspended ceiling tiles application. The Feltkütur team is also studying the making the floor texture using this same new technology.
