An acoustic alliance for total immersion at Laser Game Évolution in Sainte-Foy
With Feltkütur's Innovative Acoustic Solutions
The collaboration between EMBLM and Feltkütur for the acoustic project at Laser Game Évolution in Sainte-Foy is a prime example of success in sound control and interior design. This project was driven by a major acoustic issue in the space: due to the open architecture and hard materials present in the room, significant echo was disrupting events and players' experiences. This posed challenges both in terms of game immersion and overall acoustic comfort for users.
From the outset, EMBLM and Feltkütur were tasked with finding a practical and aesthetic solution to this problem. EMBLM, specializing in office and public space design, took charge of the overall organization of the space, working closely with Feltkütur, an expert in acoustic solutions. Their primary challenge was to design an installation that would reduce reverberation and echo while integrating seamlessly into the modern and playful environment of Laser Game Évolution.
The teams opted for the installation of suspended Tekboard Studio panels, acoustic panels specifically designed to improve sound comfort in large spaces. These panels were placed on the ceiling and chosen in two colors, gray Westmont and Rougemont, which add an elegant touch to the room's aesthetic while remaining understated and functional. The Tekboard Studio panels are not only effective in absorbing sound and reducing reverberation, but they are also easy to integrate into various architectural contexts thanks to their flexibility and sleek design.
Thanks to these panels, the echo level in the room significantly decreased, creating a more pleasant acoustic environment. Players can now fully concentrate on their gaming experience without being disturbed by disruptive ambient noise. The solutions provided by Feltkütur improved the sound quality, while EMBLM ensured that the integration of these products was done harmoniously, without altering the room's aesthetic.
