Acoustic panels creating a relaxation space in hospital settings

At the beginning of the pandemic and like many players in the economy, the start-up RecharjME, offering well-being in business, was placed on holdAs the pandemic unfolds, the team sees a level of alert and stress settling in the healthcare environment. It was at this time that RecharjMe wished to donate two relaxation cabins to Montreal hospitals with the objective of offering a moment of relaxation to medical staff thanks to their acoustic cabin. The administration of the CHU Ste-Justine immediately showed a keen interest in this proposal.

The nursing and administrative staff of the CHU Ste-Justine can now enjoy a moment of relaxation in the soundproof booth including a zero-gravity chair and a tablet with relaxation audios. Cabins are available at all times by booking via the mobile application.

This three-month donation will allow Sainte-Justine staff to take a moment of relaxation. This partnership also helps the Montreal company RecharjME to adapt to the necontext, for example by adding with a velcro, an adapted antimicrobial material at strategic locations inside the cabin which facilitates decontamination between each reservation.

After the first successes in more traditional companies such as DESJARDINS, INEAT or LE CIRQUE DU SOLEIL, RecharjME hopes to bring real comfort in the hospital environment. This objective seems to begin with success as several reservations have already been made during the first days.

Tekboard product as the main component of the acoustic booth

The structure of the acoustic cabin is made out of the Tekboard product, a color choice between gray Fermont and gray Saint-Sebastien was made by RecharjMe. Thanks to its acoustic properties due to the felt as well as to the air space created by the honeycomb cardboard of the Tekboard, the acoustic booth offers a controlled sound environment.
